About PTTR...

Paint the town Red is a Christian initiative started by individuals from a number of church organisations with a common focus and aim: To demonstrate the love of Jesus to our community. To no longer sit back and watch as our society self-destructs. We believe in unity, and the unity of the Church is Jesus. The time for just going to church has passed, it is time to BE The Church!

Philippians 2:1-2 says this:- “Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.” (NLT)

Some people might describe this as Community service. Helping shoppers who struggle with their shopping bags through the Ropewalk, people who do not have the strength, energy or time to tidy their gardens, picking up litter off the streets, doing odd jobs for people who are finding it difficult.

It may be questioned, what for? What will these people want in return? Well the answer is nothing. Okay so maybe this is not technically true, we want to build relationships. We want to make a difference in the community we live. We want to help to restore a sense of community in the locality of where we live. We want to change the world.

I think that the cut and short of it is we want to bring young people together from in and around the local towns of Nuneaton and Bedworth, and possibly even from other towns nationally, to work together, have fun and build community, and this is the dream that is called:
